The cultural confidence of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is an important part of the cultural confidence of Chinese nation. The innovation and transformation of TCM serves as continuous driving force for the cultural confidence of TCM. Cultivating the cultural self-confidence of TCM is an important grasp of the fundamental task of cultivating people in the new era, the primary task of talent training and the concrete embodiment of the party’s political construction, one of the functions of colleges and universities, teachers’ responsibility and college students’ duty. In the new era, it is necessary to cultivate the cultural consciousness of college students in TCM, to form their cultural identity in TCM, and to establish and strengthen their cultural confidence in TCM. As the leading and core factors of the cultural confidence in TCM, the value orientation and the thought of traditional Chinese medicine culture are the most important and core element to achieve Chinese medicine cultural confidence. Universities should aim at the value orientation of Chinese medicine culture, and take the thinking cultivation of TCM as one key objective, as well as actively and effectively explore diverse paths and methods to foster college students in TCM cultural confidence education.

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) thinking inherits the dialectical thinking tradition in ancient Chinese philosophy. From unique perspective, approach and method, it studies human health, life and diseases and manifests the unique original thinking characteristics of the Chinese nation. Inheriting the TCM thinking is the historical logic of strengthening the cultural confidence in TCM. Innovative TCM thinking is the theoretical logic of strengthening the cultural confidence in TCM. Cultivating TCM thinking is the practical logic of strengthening the cultural confidence in TCM. Traditional Chinese medicine colleges and universities must reform and innovate the training path of the cultural confidence in TCM thinking, and cultivate "hardcore" Chinese medicine talents with conscious TCM thinking.

As a language marker recording the development history of the western medicine, medical English terminology mirrors the development of medicine from the ancient Greeks to the present. The metaphorical features of the medical English terminology plays a vital role in its formations by metaphors, such as entity and substance metaphor, orientation metaphor and myth metaphor. It is important for the medical students to grasp the mechanism of the metaphorical features in the formation of the medical terminology. The better way in teaching medical terms to medical students is to provide “medical terms scaffolding” for the students, promote their metaphorical thinking ability and raise their metaphorical concept, thus settling the vocabulary learning difficulties where most medical students feel much cornered.

Examination is an important means of evaluating and supervising the learning and achievements of students in higher education. Computer-aided evaluation (CAE) system has been widely used in specialized courses teaching, such as biochemistry, genetics and other biology-related courses at the foundation stage of medical colleges and universities. It has significantly improved the efficiency of subject teaching while reducing the cost of examination organization and implementation. However, the conventional CAE platform basically provides support for the standardization of test questions in the form of objective assessment, while it has been difficult to standardize the evaluation of subjective test questions. In this study, we try to use string editing distance as the main reference index for text similarity comparison, and apply the data processing principle of artificial intelligence to text discrimination and reference scoring of subjective questions such as fillingin questions, noun interpretation, short answer questions and question-and-answer questions, and explore the corresponding evaluation strategies and weight rules for different types of questions. In addition, in the process of testing, we have also realized the integration of all hardware requirements of mobile terminals represented by cellphones, which greatly improved the applicability and flexibility of the original online examination system, and fully adapted to the formative evaluation or completion examination needs in different classroom scales and other scenarios. We conclude that the solution for grading subjective test using artificial intelligence can be feasible under well-organized examination with properly arranged answer keys, where string similarity distances can be used as the primary index for calculations and down-dimension of cognition levels should be the strategy for text extraction. The continuous development and optimization of our platform or system of such types will benefit the students’ learning by significantly reduce both the workload and operational errors of teaching staffs.
