Approaches and practice of medical humanities education from the perspective of curriculum ideology

Abstract: The “curricular ideology”, as the conceptual support and method system of educational reform in the new era, has guided the establishment of moral education in the right direction. Chinese medical education is to cultivate qualified medical personnel for the party and the country, and to train health guardians for the people. Such national and social needs cannot be separated from the cultivation of medical students humanistic and political qualities. Therefore, from the perspective of curriculum ideology and politics, this article takes the Shenzhen University Health Science Center as a specific case, and explores the path selection and realistic practices of medical humanities education incorporating ideological and political elements from two dimensions of professional curriculum design and characteristic social practice.
