Strengthening the ideological and political education for medical students in the new era—taking Capital Medical University as an example

Abstract: Teachers in medical colleges and universities shoulder "dual duty" mission of teaching and educating as well as treating patients and saving lives; students are the future "angels in white" and will become the builders and successors of the national healthcare industry. Therefore, it is particularly important to do a good job in ideological and political education in medical colleges and universities. Taking Capital Medical University as an example, this article explores the integration of medical ethics culture, military culture, and voluntary culture into ideological and political education of medical colleges and universities from four dimensions: the collaborative construction of innovative courses on ideological and political education, the use of new media to play an exemplary role of advanced models, the enrichment of university club activities to create a good campus atmosphere, and the in-depth practice of social great ideological and political courses.
