With the reform of the education method of medical students, the traditional administration model cannot satisfy the situation and it is necessary to take some actions to enhance the effect of administration. “Vertical class” is another kind of class model. The method is classifying the students of the same or similar major into the same class and limiting the class size to thirty or so. Based on the facts that these students have more in common , this model has an application advantage and can get good administration effects. Through several years practice, we had some experience and this model made the administration more efficient. The survey of the current students shows they prefer this kind of organization and hope for more meaningful activities. This is an important method to organize the medical graduate students and can make the administration more efficient and achieve more administration effect.

Psychiatry is an important branch of clinical medicine. However, due to the lack of objective diagnostic indicators, the assessments and diagnoses of mental disorders are very different from other medical disciplines. Basically, the diagnosis of mental disorders primarily depends on the clinical interview and mental status examination, involving various social and cultural factors. It would be very challenging to teach psychiatry to international students who are studying in China. This article summarizes the challenges and difficulties in the lectures and internship of teaching psychiatry, taking into consideration various factors that may have an influence on teaching activities, such as the characteristics of the discipline, linguistic and cultural factors, participation of patients, and abstract technical terms involved in theory teaching. This article also goes into details about some specific aspects when discussing these issues, puts forward some possible solutions for these challenges, and evaluates the outcomes.
