Ideological and political education of normal somatology based on CBCL teaching method

Abstract: Objective To explore the approach and effects of case-based collaborative learning (CBCL) teaching method in ideological and political education of normal somatology in nursing specialty.Methods This study selected 62 students from nursing major of Grade 2020 as the control group,and 61 students of Grade 2021 as the experimental group. The control group used traditional teaching methods. The experimental group used CBCL teaching method. The teaching effect was statistically analyzed by examination, questionnaire survey and expert group evaluation, and was compared from the aspects of students' comprehensive performance, teaching satisfaction and students' self-efficacy (reflecting students' sense of social responsibility and professional identity).Results The comprehensive scores of students in the experimental group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P<0.05); The questionnaire survey shows that the students in the experimental group are significantly better than those in the control group in terms of their satisfaction with the teaching methods and their sense of learning self-efficacy (P<0.05). The teaching experts evaluated the students' classroom performance. Compared with the control group, the experimental group had significant differences in knowledge presentation, clinical thinking ability and ideological and political effect in class (P<0.05).Conclusion CBCL teaching method can help students improve their clinical thinking and innovation ability, sense of social responsibility and professional identity, have a deeper understanding of the organic combination of theoretical knowledge and clinical practice, and provide new ideas and methods for curriculum ideological and political education.
