Refining and importing mode of ideological and political elements in evidence-based medicine curriculum

Abstract: Evidence-based medicine (EBM) is a science based on evidence. Integrating ideological and political elements into the teaching of EBM is essential for achieving the goal of "cultivating people by virtue and comprehensive education". In this paper, four ideological and political elements are extracted from the course of EBM: ideal and belief, responsibility, precision and practicality, and inheritance and promotion. These ideological and political elements is integrated into the EBM teaching through typical case study, group discussion, professional platform so as to provide reference for the ideological and political education among EBM curriculum in China.
