Practice and exploration of cultivating global nursing talents

Abstract: To explore the feasibility of comprehensive nursing education program in meeting the increasing demands for global nursing, this initiative was oriented toward the overall development of the nursing discipline in China. The education program was competence-based with essential knowledge and skills in nursing as the fundamental basis, and with the incorporation of recognized global standards and scopes defined for nursing practice. Meanwhile, advanced concepts and ideas in global nursing education was considered in establishing this global nursing education program, therefore meeting the national demands for global nursing and promoting overall global competency in nursing.
