Abstract: The College English course, as a public basic course in medical schools, plays the key role in improving medical students' language proficiency. To achieve the course goals, it is necessary to design the course from three perspectives—the national needs, school-based features, and the characteristics of the language discipline—and build a college English teaching ecosystem by integrating the relevant elements of education and teaching with the guidance of educational ecology theory. The teaching practice completed and the achievements achieved in Capital Medical University have proved that the model of medical college English teaching ecosystem, with the characteristics of synergy and integration of medicine and language, and the seven ecological factors, is feasible and effective. The seven factors are medical talent cultivation orientation, teachers' team, teaching resources, teaching methods, teaching feedback, teaching environment, and medical students.
