Abstract: Objective To construct a program for nursing postgraduate students' information competence cultivation, and to provide reference for the improvement of nursing postgraduate students' information competence in the context of New Medical Science. Methods A preliminary program for the cultivation of information competence of nursing postgraduate students was formed by combining literature research and semi-structured interviews. The Delphi method was used to conduct 3 rounds of correspondence consultation with 16 experts to finalize the nursing postgraduate students' information competence cultivation program. Results The effective recall rates of the 3 rounds of expert consultation questionnaires were 100%, 93.8% and 93.8%, respectively; the expert authority coefficients were 0.837, 0.824 and 0.851, respectively; and the Kendall harmony coefficients were 0.217, 0.226 and 0.235, respectively (all P<0.001). The constructed information competence training program for nursing postgraduate students included five primary entries, 15 secondary entries, and 50 tertiary entries, covering training objectives, teaching faculty, training methods, training content, and assessment and evaluation. Conclusion The information competence cultivation program for nursing postgraduate students constructed in this study is scientific and operable, and can provide reference for nursing postgraduate students' information competence cultivation.
