Curriculum ideological and political education in the course of New Advances in Diagnosis and Treatment of Digestive Diseases

Abstract: In order to implement the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping on the work of postgraduate education, the teaching team of the Department of Gastroenterology, Beijing Friendship Hospital, Capital Medical University, has explored ideological and political elements in the course of New Advances in Diagnosis and Treatment of Digestive Diseases, and the integration of course lectures with curriculum ideological and political education by means of various teaching methods. The paper emphasizes the importance of teaching heritage, underlines the wisdom and dedication of medical masters, and integrates the professionalism of teaching team members into medical education. The guidelines of ideological and political education in this course are proposed, including optimizing the teaching system, exploring ideological and political elements, innovating the teaching mode, and reinforcing the teachers' mission of cultivating talents. It promotes the organic integration of ideological and political education in the curriculum system and provides solid support for the overall development of students.
