Exploration of the ideological and political education in human parasitology course

Abstract: Parasitotic diseases threaten human health and economic development worldwide. As a course of studying parasitotic etiology and its interacting relationship with human, Human Parasitology is one of the medical basic specialized courses in medical colleges. The ideological and political elements like patriotism, sincerity, persistence, preciseness and international outlooks developed from cases in Human Parasitology can be discovered, sublimated and integrated into the classroom teaching through organizing teaching seminars, enriching teaching methods, incorporating ideological and political elements into course practice, optimizing course review and evaluation methods. Medical students can then be cultivated in their patriotism, medical ethic qualities and international outlooks, which will help them develop comprehensively.
