Abstract: Under the background of “Great Health”, higher requirements are put forward for medical talents. In order to improve the post competence of medical postgraduates, local medical university closely focus on the core of “post competence”, starting from the two “longitudes” of postgraduate tutor team construction and postgraduate training, together with four “latitudes” of innovative ability, practical ability, interdisciplinary thinking and international vision, aiming at the reform of training mode. In terms of the construction of postgraduate tutor team, we establish and improve the classified selection and assessment system of graduate tutors, build a “four-in-one” tutor training system, carry out the “medicine + X” integration project, establish an international tutor team, and comprehensively improve the post competence of graduate tutors. In terms of postgraduate training, we build the postgraduate classification training system with full cycle coverage of scientific research literacy of scientific degrees and the integration of “industry, university and research” of professional degrees, establish a “medicine + X” medical postgraduate cross training system and an “S-P-R-I international training mode”, improve the postgraduate interdisciplinary ability, broaden the international vision and improve the postgraduate post competency. Since the implementation of the new model, the  innovative ability,  practical ability, interdisciplinary thinking and international vision of graduate students have been effectively improved. They have strong job competence and are welcomed by employment units. The employment rate is nearly 100%, and they are engaged in medical scientific research or clinical work.
