With the drastically reduced costs in development of sequencing technology, together with the volume increase of shared sequencing data from laboratories worldwide, the demands for bioinformatics operation has been continuously exploding. Standardized protocols for discovery of mutations screening from DNA sequencing and differential analysis from RNA sequencing are gradually formed, therefore previously some professional analyses of NGS data can be performed in a user self-facilitated fashion with the evolved capacity of personal computers. To overwhelm the high bars of both software and hardware for NGS data processing, especially for medical students with inadequate mathematical and/or experiences to Linux operation systems, we developed a platform, called BIONEO (running under windows system with graphical interface), to support the laboratory training sessions for “High Through-Put Sequencing Data Analysis”. After being tested and operated for several rounds, we received satisfactory feedback and remarkable evaluation from both students and professional colleagues, with regards to the ease in operation and learning. Our novel system of BIONEO not only provided a solution for solving the common problems in bioinformatics practical training, and also allowed the trainees to explore with the data from research projects based on their learning.

Despite the rapid integration of extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) into intensive care units over the past decade, ECMO simulation training programs are inadequate. The training and continuing education of ECMO practitioners is of great significance to maintain the safe development of ECMO projects. Because ECMO treatment objects are usually extremely critical patients, and ECMO itself is complex, high-risk, and needs multi-disciplinary team cooperation. There are some particularities and limitations in ECMO technology training and continuing education. In order to speed up the training of ECMO professionals and standardize the development of ECMO, Chinese Extracorporeal Life Support Organization (ChECLS) has carried out a high-fidelity ECMO training program. This program includes the establishment of ECMO support, identification and handling of sudden accidents during ECMO support, and wean from ECMO. After the training, the trainees can quickly and safely establish and remove ECMO, and can make quick and accurate judgment and respond actively to the emergency during the auxiliary period, which has achieved good training results.

For newly recruited employees, most hospitals adopt a pre-job training model of intensive time teaching. This pre-job training model is blind and one-sided in teaching and learning. In order to reduce the error rate of new staff in outpatient pharmacy dispensing, to prevent and avoid the occurrence of serious medication errors, and to help new staff to adapt to the new job as soon as possible, we use the post competency theory framework as the guide and the pharmacist’s task as the orientation to build a set of pre-job training model for outpatient pharmacists with job competence. we set up a pre-job training working group to formulate training objectives, training content, training cycle and competency-based assessment projects, and implemented pre-job training based on job competence for new recruits, and made full use of the advantages of new media to develop “classroom mini-programs” to help new recruits to grasp drug knowledge more quickly and comprehensively. After that, the new recruits were evaluated based on their job competence.

Objective  To explore the effect of mindfulness training on the improvement of nursing students' state of mind. Methods  Forty-five nursing students were enrolled in a 2×3 mixed design. The independent variable between group was the psychological training mode (mindfulness training vs no training), and the independent variable within group was time (pre-test/post-test/follow-up test). In addition, the dependent variables were the score of mindfulness and the score of state of mind. Results   Mindfulness levels in the mindfulness training group were significantly higher in the post-test and follow-up test than in the pre-test (P<0.001; P<0.001), state of mind scores were significantly lower in both post-test and follow-up test than in pre-test (P<0.001; P<0.001); There was no significant difference in the dependent variables in the non-training group. Conclusion  Mindfulness training can improve nursing students’ state of mind, and the continuation effect after the withdrawal of intervention is obvious.
