Abstract: For newly recruited employees, most hospitals adopt a pre-job training model of intensive time teaching. This pre-job training model is blind and one-sided in teaching and learning. In order to reduce the error rate of new staff in outpatient pharmacy dispensing, to prevent and avoid the occurrence of serious medication errors, and to help new staff to adapt to the new job as soon as possible, we use the post competency theory framework as the guide and the pharmacist’s task as the orientation to build a set of pre-job training model for outpatient pharmacists with job competence. we set up a pre-job training working group to formulate training objectives, training content, training cycle and competency-based assessment projects, and implemented pre-job training based on job competence for new recruits, and made full use of the advantages of new media to develop “classroom mini-programs” to help new recruits to grasp drug knowledge more quickly and comprehensively. After that, the new recruits were evaluated based on their job competence.
