Mental status of adult education nursing undergraduates during COVID-19

Abstract: Objective   To investigate the mental status of adult education nursing undergraduates during COVID-19 so as to provide basis for strengthening humanistic care. Methods   SRQ-20 and PSS on line was conducted in 387 nursing undergraduates of class 2020 in Capital Medical University. Results    53(13.7%)students had emotional distress, which was no significant difference with nurse in the same period (χ2=2.94,P=0.09) The incidence of emotional distress is significantly different in different sleep states (χ2=43.78,P<0.01), and the marginal significantly in the average weekly working hours(χ2=9.21,P=0.056). Perceived stress are significantly different in different sleep states (F=7.85,P<0.01), and the marginal significantly in the average weekly working hours(F=2.34,P=0.055). Conclusion   During COVID-19, school administrators should strengthen humanistic care for adult education nursing undergraduates to ease the their stress and reduce the emotional distress.
