Abstract: In the context of the era of mass entrepreneurship and innovation, the cultivation of innovation and entrepreneurship abilities among medical students not only enhances their comprehensive abilities but also promotes innovation in the medical field. The process from scientific research to clinical application in the medical field is the process of innovation to entrepreneurship. Due to the particularity of medical specialty, the current innovation and entrepreneurship practice training model is difficult to let medical students go deep into the whole innovation and entrepreneurship process in a short period of time. This study proposes a training model of innovation and entrepreneurship ability for medical students based on medical device innovation and transformation practice, which starts from clinical pain points and uses tools such as UG modeling and 3D printing to achieve the intersection of medicine and engineering, with flexible and diverse ways of scientific research transformation. This model has been verified through three years of practice and achieved fruitful results. It features a high degree of alignment between "mass entrepreneurship and innovation" practices and the professional knowledge learned, as well as a short cycle from research and development to clinical application. It rapidly cultivates medical students' ability in innovation and entrepreneurship, promotes innovation in the medical field and the progress of medical technology, and thus holds significant strategic significance for the development of the national medical and health undertakings.
