Quality assurance of master's dissertations for professional degree clinical medical postgraduates

Abstract: The dissertations of master's degree students are the concentrated embodiment of research results in the stage of graduate training, and it is also an important basis for degree conferment. Currently, there are problems such as insufficient academic training, lack of main responsibility of tutors and optimization of training process management. From the problem-oriented perspective, this study analyzes dissertations quality problems by means of literature review and interviews, and puts forward policy suggestions on establishing a long-term mechanism for tutor training and assessment, strengthening the supervision of key research groups, advancing the dissertation quality, and adding review of academic norms for dissertations and other key links of graduate education management system. The intervention of social evaluation bodies such as professional associations should be strengthened in order to optimize the evaluation system of professional dissertation of clinical medical masters, improve the quality of dissertation and promote the reform and development of graduate education.
