Abstract: This paper aims to promote the ideological and political construction of college students^, mental health education curriculum, strengthen the educational function of mental health education curriculum and improve college students^, political literacy. The significance of the integration of mental health and ideological and political education is discussed in detail.  It is suggested that colleges and universities should promote the coordinated development of mental health education and ideological and political education by improving teachers^, moral awareness and ability, perfecting course evaluation mechanism, refining course content, making good use of positive psychology perspective, advocating scientific health view, updating teaching methods, and making use of network public opinion.
