Research on the information needs of respiratory doctors based on the idea of think tank

Abstract: A total of 336 respiratory doctors in Guangdong Province were selected as the subjects. Their needs of information and their reasons, channels, obstacles and expectations to access information were investigated by electronic questionnaire. This paper aims to clarify the current situation and reform direction of the medical university library. It puts forward how to further improve and promote the construction of medical university library and even university think tank by introducing a new theoretical basis, attaching importance to the analysis of doctors’ needs, and setting up a scientific knowledge management mechanism, introducing high-quality talents and establishing scientific research teams.
