Abstract: The Health China 2030 Plan has clearly put forward that health education and talent fostering should be strengthened, and health industry should be developed with a systematic and optimum structure, so as to become a pillar industry in the national economy. Health industry is turning into a key contribution to health China construction and a critical area of the state industry development. Medical education and health industry have experienced a rapid progress, but there still exists a sharp contrast between strong demand on the education/service and weak status of the industry growth. It faces various challenges including shortage of high-level talents, deficiency in industry standard and monitoring, and weakness in industry innovation, etc. Consequently we should speed up reform of the medical education talent supply front, enhance cooperation and research in talent fostering, and boost upgrade of the medical education and industry.
