Abstract: Objective　To promote the development of health service industry, and improve the psychological counselors’ training system. Methods　We collected a wide range of relevant literatures concerning psychological counselors’ development and training, analyzed the deficiencies in training, and made recommendations with regard to the development goals of health services. Results　We found the following problems in the training of current psychological counselors in our country. The professional education is inadequate and the quality should be improved. The professional quality of the practitioners and, the training institutions are very different in qualities. The follow-up training and the supervision are slao inadequate. Conclusion　We should strengthen the academic education, non-academic education, and continuing education for psychological counselors, and carry out strict supervision system.
