Abstract: Objective  To clarify the teaching effectiveness of the thought of “ integration of medical skills and medical ethics” of Yushan medical school in the clinical course of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) interns. Methods  From 2021 to 2022, 60 interns majoring in traditional Chinese medicine in Changshu Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine were divided into classes A and B, with 30 people in each. Class A adopted traditional teaching, while Class B, on this basis, compressed half the time to carry out the course education of “ integration of medical skills and medical ethics” of Yushan medical school. Before and after the course, two classes conducted clinical standardized patients (SP) assessment and unified test paper examination respectively. The final score consists of clinical medical ethics performance, TCM clinical diagnosis and treatment operation level, SP subjective feeling and test paper examination, accounting for 20%, 20%, 20% and 40% of the total score respectively. At the same time, after the course, teachers and students were investigated respectively. Results  After the course, the scores of the two classes were significantly improved compared with those before the course. At the same time, the scores of class B were better than those of class A, but there was no difference in the feedback scores of the two classes. Conclusion  The integration of the thought of “integration of medical skills and medical ethics” of Yushan medical school into the clinical teaching practice of traditional Chinese medicine interns does not affect the teaching and learning experience of teachers and students, and can promote the students' performance, medical ethics cultivation and clinical diagnosis and treatment level.
