Current status and countermeasures on stomatology specialized English education

Abstract: Professional English in stomatology is an important auxiliary subject in stomatology education.Major stomatological colleges in China have opened specialized English courses,but they are unable to achieve the teaching effect due to the lack of teaching programs in line with the actual situation of stomatological students in China.This study compares the development status,course types,teachers,teaching forms and assessment methods of English courses for stomatology majors in various colleges and universities in China,and uses questionnaires to understand the evaluation,demand and expectation of stomatology students and relevant practitioners on this course.This paper discusses the problems existing in oral Medicine English course,and puts forward some countermeasures to improve teaching quality,cultivate international oral medicine talents,and promote teaching exchange.
