Rethinking of Eight-year medical education in China under the new situation

Abstract: The construction of “Healthy China” and the Chinas health development under the new situation are in pressing need of medical scientists and leading talents with international competitiveness. Therefore, medical talents training is a must for eight-year medical education in the current educational system. To innovate the training mode of eight-year medical talents, we should learn from the experience of long-schooling medical education, face problems directly, and focus on innovative ability and spirit. With such practice, we will construct a research-based eight-year medical personnel training mode. “Aim-driven, foundation-strengthened, clinic-oriented, and innovation-focused” will be our principles in cultivating Chinas future leading talents with international competitiveness.
