Abstract: In order to implement the work requirements of the Ministry of Education on the quality monitoring and evaluation mechanism for textbook selection, Capital Medical University has continuously improved its textbook management system, and formed a mechanism for students’ evaluation of textbooks on the basis of standardizing the hierarchical management of the selection of textbooks, so that students’ evaluation opinions are involved in the management of textbooks. Starting from the phenomenon of “separation of selecting and using” raised by students in the textbook evaluation in our university, this paper focuses on the textbook selecting and using from the perspective of student in the context of new medicine science, and analyzes the use of designated textbooks, general textbooks, and English textbooks among students, and discusses the relationship between textbooks as “tools, media, and resources”. This paper provides a reference for the educational and teaching reform carried out by front-line teachers in medical higher education.
