Effects of the whole course tutorial system on teaching and learning of laboratory medical undergraduates

Abstract: The whole course tutorial system for undergraduate is an important way to improve the quality of students’ cultivation in China in recent years. The School of Laboratory Medicine and Biotechnology at Southern Medical University persists in the educational idea of cultivating students focus on morality, by all staff, in the whole process and in all aspects. Therefore, the whole course tutorial system for undergraduate students started from 2017 in Medical Laboratory Sciences majors. After 2 years, this measure constructed a harmonious relationship between teachers and students, enhanced students’ humanity qualities, fostered the professional ethics of students, helped them put theory into practice, improved their ability of both hands-on and scientific research and innovation. It also promoted the common development of teaching and learning.
