Abstract: Since the outbreak of COVID-19, much epidemic information has been released from the we media. It is difficult to prohibit the above-mentioned acts, and there is no need to prohibit them. The publication system of epidemic information stipulated in the law on the prevention and control of infectious diseases is as follows: the health administrative department under the State Council has the obligation to publish epidemic information to the society, but does not prohibit other subjects from publishing all kinds of legitimate information related to the epidemic situation. When the we media deliberately fabricate or confuse the epidemic information or spread the epidemic information knowingly false, the information enters the public domain and the information is spread within a certain scope and causes serious consequences, the information publisher or disseminator shall bear legal responsibility.
