Construction of general information technology courses in medical schools under the background of new medical education

Abstract: A new generation of information technology has recently been widely used in the medical industry, which not merely propels the development of the industry, but also comes up with higher level requirements for the cross-integration education of medicine and information technology in medical schools. Taking the construction of new medical education as an opportunity, based on the comprehensive analysis of the present situation of information technology education in medical schools, this paper innovatively puts forward the construction thoughts of designing general information technology courses adapted to medical schools, and aims to comprehensively enhance medical students' capacity to resolve clinical practical issues via information technology from three dimensions: basic knowledge, competency and information literacy through the reform and innovation of curriculum content, the innovation of teaching organizing forms and the enhancement of digital cultural atmosphere on campus, to facilitate the deep integration of information technology and medical education, and to advance the competency-oriented education and teaching reform.
