Intervention  of Traditional Chinese Medicine Emotional Therapy on college students  with generalized anxiety disorder

Abstract: Generalized anxiety disorder is a pathological anxiety characterized by persistent nervousness accompanied by significant nervous function excitement and excessive vigilance. Its psychological symptoms,  physical symptoms and behavioral manifestations seriously affect college students’ daily life,  study and development,  and impose severe pain and burden on individual students and their families. Because traditional drug therapy is prone to drug tolerance,  drug dependence and repeated adverse conditions after drug withdrawal,  psychological therapy plays an important role. This paper was based on the appearance-verve theory and seven emotions theory in Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM),  on copious literature review research combined with case analysis,  then put forward generalized anxiety disorder psychological intervention measures,  with “persuasion channel,  modern phase,  empathy is easy” as its core. It advocates mind therapy,  situational therapy,  desensitization therapy for college campus prevention of generalized anxiety disorder. It also provides reference for college students to carry out psychological counseling and mental health education.
