Abstract: Objective To explore the practical course of early clinical contact for medical students, to provide reference for further teaching reform and to improve teaching quality of high-level medical talents. Methods 82 eight-year program medical students, enrolled in 2017, were selected to carry out the teaching activities in their spare time (from the second semester of the first year to the first semester of the second year), and a questionnaire survey about the effectiveness of the course was conducted. Results Most of the 82 students were in favor of the teaching form in this course, and the results were significant. Conclusion Early clinical contact for medical students as freshmen conforms to the role transition of medical students from high school students to college students, and it serves as good career guidance.
