Abstract: In order to learn the advanced experience of foreign medical education, I study the 2009 report of “Doctor of Tomorrow”. This paper summarizes the basic ability requirements of British medical graduates from three aspects: doctors, practitioners and professionals. I obtained three revelations. Firstly, the Chinese medical education should strengthen medical students’ knowledge in sociology, psychology and so on. Secondly, we should improve their knowledge innon-verbal communication. Thirdly, doctors should have teamwork awareness. They should have a harmonious relationship not only with their patients, but also with their colleagues.
