Historical review of the teaching of World Stomatological History course and its implications for the teaching of Chinese Stomatological History

Abstract: World stomatological history education originated in Europe and America, and can be divided into four phases: budding stage, booming stage, mature stage and transitional stage. Western medical history and stomatological history research and education was introduced to China, and Chinese medical fields and Chinese scholars were influenced and inspired, started to ponder over Chinese medical history and stomatological history research and education. Peking Union Medical College and Peking University Health Science Center also offered lectures on the history of medicine one after another, and the book History of Chinese Oral Medicine is the most important work in this field. With the continuous development of modern education, western stomatological history education makes a shift into informatization and networkization and presents continuous innovations and updates in curriculum content and teaching models, which provides experience and reference to Chinese stomatological history education.
