Application of participatory teaching method in teaching pediatric intensive care medicine

Abstract: Pediatric intensive care medicine (PICU) is the interdisciplinary and professionalized major. The situation of patients in PICU are varied and complex. Training pediatrician is critical thing. Participatory teaching method is student oriented. It could not only enhance the initiative and motivation of medicine but also cultivate their self-study ability. Moreover it helps to provoke the teacher’s ability. So it is useful for pediatric intensive medicine teaching. We use this teaching method with other ways according to the practical situation to obtain the best effect.
