Innovative "Four-Dimension, Three-Integration" pathway for digital-intelligence empowered ideological and political education of medical students under the background of new medical science

Abstract: Objective To explore a teaching system empowered by digital intelligence, which can effectively enhance the innovative implementation of ideological and political courses under the dual impetus of the New Medical Education initiative and the Healthy China strategy. Methods  Undergraduate students in medical colleges were selected as the research objects(n=552) during the period from March to August 2025.By integrating questionnaire surveys, literature reviews, and expert consultations, an innovative pathway termed "Four Dimensions and Three Integrations" is proposed. Results  The traditional teaching model of ideological and political courses reveals several practical challenges when facing the new generation of medical students, including insufficient application of digital intelligence technologies, limited effectiveness, lack of targeted approaches, and inadequate collaborative education mechanisms. Conclusion  By empowering teaching knowledge, teaching systems, practical teaching, and collaborative education across four dimensions through digital intelligence, this study explores a deep coupling mechanism between digital intelligence technologies and medical ideological and political education. It provides theoretical support and practical pathways for cultivating medical talents in the new era.
