Exploration and application of science fiction films in teaching of the history of medicine

Abstract: Emerging biotechnology becomes an important innovative force in human society, while the technical risks involved have aroused many controversies. It is therefore essential to guide students to pay attention to the past and future of emerging biotechnology, understand the complexity and multiple possibilities of scientific and technological development, and establish a correct view of history and the future in the course of the history of medicine. In this regard, science fiction films as 'thought experiments' have a good supporting role. This paper examines two representative examples of emerging biotechnologies to explore the feasibility and practical significance of integrating science fiction films into the teaching of medical history.
