Abstract: Narrative medicine plays a pivotal role in fostering the professional identity of medical students. It holdssignificant importance in enhancing the moral education and talent cultivation quality of medical education, as well asstrengthening the quality assurance system of medical services. From the perspective of narrative medicine, this articledelves into the crucial significance and implementation pathways of integrating narrative medicine into the construction ofmedical students' professional identity. By refining the narrative medicine curriculum, promoting narrative medicineinternships, and creating a narrative medicine cultural environment, medical students can gain a deeper understanding ofpatients' experiences and needs. This enables them to cultivate empathy and a spirit of humanistic care, reflect on their ownlearning and career development, and ultimately forge a positive professional identity. Such an approach not only bolstersthe competency of medical students, laying a solid foundation for future medical practice, but also drives medical educationreform. It aims to nurture more exceptional medical talents endowed with humanistic qualities, compassion, and a sense ofresponsibility. Ultimately, this contributes to building harmonious doctor-patient relationships, enhancing the quality ofmedical services, and achieving the goal of "Healthy China 2030"
