Development of clinical skills for international students through clinical skills competition

Abstract: Practical knowledge in medical education is essential in training medical students. With this understanding,this article presents the clinical skills competition as a valuable part of training of medical students. It promotes the improvement of the clinical skills, clinical thinking, team cooperation and conscious level of the international students, as well as further elaborates the importance of clinical teaching through the analysis and results of the competition. Clinical skills contest should be targeted towards the adaptability, organization and development of clinical skills of international students.
