Abstract: Objective  To explore the application of multi-dimensional evaluation system in online clinical teaching of otorhinolaryngology head and neck surgery. Methods  The “5 + 3” integrated clinical medicine students of Capital Medical University were selected and the online teaching mode was adopted. The teaching quality was evaluated through the multi-dimensional system of examination about clinical basic knowledge of otorhinolaryngology, class quiz, online roll call and questionnaire survey. Results  According to the online questionnaire survey, this kind of online teaching can be accepted by most students. The students were able to accept the novelty and felt that teachers were able to effectively integrate the points and difficulties from the syllabus into the teaching. The average score of students' theoretical examination is 90.8 (points), with the highest score of 99, the lowest score of 60 and more than 80 points, with a percentage of 85%. The class quizzes of 62% students were above average, and only those of 38% were below average. Six students failed to register roll call within the required time and did not take all the quiz. Conclusion  Network teaching mode is a supplementary scheme to traditional teaching under special circumstances. The multi-dimensional evaluation system, including roll call, in-class quizzes and theoretical examination, plays a certain role in understanding students learning status and supervising and improving teaching quality.
