Abstract: Under the guidance of the Healthy China strategy, the quality requirements for medical talents have been gradually improved. Local medical colleges and universities are the main position of medical talent cultivating and will play a key role in local social and economic development. At the same time, with the deepening of the reform of higher medical education, the talent training mode of local medical colleges is also changing. In this paper, we take Guilin Medical Universitys clinical medicine national level first-class major construction practice as an example. Through the exploration of major construction experience in talent training goals, curriculum construction, classroom reform, teaching staff and teaching conditions, to meet major characteristic development, driven by the domestic demand of serving local economic development, Guilin Medical University is trying to comprehensively improve the quality of talent cultivating.
