Analysis of the current status and education of professional baby care educators in China

Abstract: Objective The aim of this paper is to provide a reference for the construction of the related personnel system in China's health service industry through the analysis of the present situation and problems of the development of Chinese professional baby care educators. Methods We conducted the research through literature review to summarize the main issues, and to interview experts and practitioners. Results the profession of baby care educators has qiute low entry standards, and lacks market acceptance. It is affected by training chaos and training problems, and lacks effective supervision. The professional baby care educator assessment link is weak, and the after training is inadequate. Conclusion In order to supervise the market, we should clear the main responsibility of the department in charge of professional baby care educators. The state should establish a standardized training mode and standards for nursery teachers; identify the orientation of qualification of professional baby care educator; strengthen the training links, and conduct rigorous training selection and assessment to enhance the actual ability of professional baby care educators.
