Abstract: In twenty-first Century, it is an era of rapid economic development and an era of talent competition. As a key link to promote economic and social development, research-oriented university is increasingly playing an irreplaceable role. The paper starts from the definition of the research-oriented university, draws lessons from foreign research-oriented universities' success, and puts forward some suggestions on the construction of domestic research-oriented universities, in order to create the domestic research-oriented universities, and to be of some help to the construction and development of domestic research-oriented universities.
