Application of flipped classroom in ophthalmology clinical probation

Abstract: Objective  To explore the application effect of the flipped classroom based on Moso Tech in clinical probation teaching of ophthalmology. Methods  40 five-years program clinical undergraduates in Grade 2015 were selected from Yanjing Medical College in Capital Medical University.  Twenty undergraduates, as comparison group, were educated with traditional teaching methods, the other  as experimental group, with the teaching methods of flipped classroom based on Moso Tech. The teaching results were compared through theoretical examinations and teaching satisfaction questionnaires. Results  The scores of theoretical examination of the experimental group is higher than that of comparison group (P<0.05), also the performance students’ satisfaction with teaching process, self-evaluation of learning effect, learning motivation and interest of experimental group are all better than those of comparison group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).  Conclusion  The teaching method of flipped classroom based on Moso Tech is more popular among students and more effective in improving students’ academic performance in comparison with traditional teaching method.
