Discussion of the MOOC and PBL in infectious diseases education

Abstract: MOOC, the massive open online course, is new model of education. PBL, the problem based learning, is an educational method oriented by problem and helps to cultivate learner’s comprehensive ability of learning. Both MOOC and PBL teaching have strengths and weaknesses. This paper analyzed their respective benefits with an aim to integrate MOOC and PBL in infectious diseases education and to improve the teaching based on the MOOC platform with the cooperation of PBL.
