Abstract: Medical functional experiment is a new independent experiment course, yet the traditional assessment mode failed either to evaluate accurately student’s actual learning status and level or adapt to them. Based on our university network teaching platform and the virtual simulation experiment system, a series of reform practice has been carried out in accordance with the teaching requirements of functional experiment and the situation of our university. Through five years of practice and improvement, we have established a relatively mature, featured, reasonable, fair, objective, comprehensive course assessment mode, thus effectively enhanced the students’ enthusiasm and initiative, improved the operation skills and basic scientific literacy. This mode plays a significant role in all-around evaluation of students' comprehensive practical ability and in improvement of the teaching quality.
