To promotethe teaching abilities of clinical teachers in indirectly affiliated hospitals by participation in competitions——Analysis of the 11th teaching round competitions of clinical teachers in Sun Yat-sen University

Abstract: Clinical practice teaching is one of the most important sectors in medical education, and the teaching abilities of clinical teachers is a core element influencing the teaching quality. This paper compared the performances of teachers from 18 hospitals in the 11th teaching round competitions of clinical teachers in Sun Yat-sen University, analyzing the differences between affiliated hospitals and indirectly affiliated hospitals, general hospitals and specialized hospitals, newly founded hospitals and long established hospitals.We found problems in teaching preparation, teaching targets and clinical analysis, and proposed some constructive suggestions and methods in enhancing the teaching abilities of teachers in indirectly affiliated hospitals.
