Abstract: Objective   To understand the willingness and influencing factors of medical staff in Beijing community health service centers to engage in hospice care. Methods   Using a sampling method combining stratified multi-stage and cluster sampling, a self-compiled questionnaire survey was conducted among 468 medical staff in 10 community health service centers in Beijing. Results   43.2% of community medical staff in Beijing were willing to engage in hospice care; 4 aspects including age, professional title had statistically significant differences in the willingness of medical staff to engage in hospice care (P<0.05); Logistic Regression analysis shows that the age, professional title, highest degree of education of medical staff, and the degree of awareness of hospice care are the main factors that affect the willingness to engage in hospice care. Conclusion   Community medical staff aged 50 and above or with intermediate professional titles are more willing to engage in hospice care; the willingness of professional medical staff in clinical medicine, traditional Chinese medicine and integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine to work in hospice care needs to be improved; the cognition level of community medical staff in hospice care is an important factor affecting their willingness to engage in hospice care work.
