Abstract: The application of multimedia database can effectively solve the problem of the medical case shortage,training time deficiency, traditional teaching limitations and patients’ failure to cooperate. It helps teachers to improve their own ability and grasp more knowledge by integrating the clinical data, and also meets the needs of students at different levels of learning. The application of multimedia database in the teaching of dermatology and venereology is worth promotion and application, as a supplement to, not a substitute for the traditional teaching.
