Abstract: Objective　To explore the real-life experiences of midwifery undergraduate students in the delivery ward.Methods　A semi-structured in-depth interview was conducted on 10 midwifery undergraduate interns, using the phenomenological research method, and the data were analyzed by Colaizzi 7-step method.Results　The real-life experiences of the midwifery undergraduate internship in the delivery ward were extracted into four themes: three stages of psychological reaction, two stages of interpersonal relationship processing, dissatisfaction with internship management and conflict between teaching and learning.Conclusion　The real-life experiences of midwifery undergraduate internship in the delivery ward is multi-dimensional, prompting managers to pay attention to the psychological response of interns, using specific psychological counseling and other methods to enhance the psychological resilience and the psychological expectations of interns, to attach importance to the construction of teacher-student relationship system, to reform the teaching mode, and to improve the quality of teaching, and to enhance the sense of belonging of internships.
